Ebel

In 1911, Eugène and Alice Blum, née Levy, founded Fabrique Ebel, Blum & Cie using four letters for their new brand name taken from their own: Eugène Blum et Levy. After its start in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Ebel’s originally and technical perfection were widely recognized—especially in the decorative ring watches establishing it as a trailblazer in the jewelry watch market.

The brand also well understood the manufacture of robust high-performance timepieces and was thus the official outfitted of the Royal Air Force during World War II.

Ebel’s past is telling: Caliber 96, only 1.7 mm high, was a comet screaming the way toward the days of movement miniaturization. Caliber 059, on the other hand, was a movement the brand developed in 1961 with a crown on the case back so as not to disturb the flow of decorative watches. From 1977, the Classique and 1911 models set new standards in design and functionality-pillars that the brand has strengthened in recent history.

In 2009, Ebel Replica Watches also extended its Classic Hexagon line with an elegant chronograph model. As with its 1911 Tekton timepieces, “bigger is better” is the main message here: with a diameter of 48.3 mm, the Classic Hexagon Chronograph unmistakable documents its demand for the line’s top spot. Despite its dimensions, the watch does not seem bulky on the wrist, for the quintessence of Ebel’s characteristic case shape using a curved hexagon takes clear effect. Combined with the slanted strap lugs and the domed, modestly integrated buttons, the chronograph, whose case is characterized by alternating satin-finished and polished surfaces, hugs the wrist. Its movement technology combines tried-and-tested ETA quality with Dubois Dépraz Module 4500, which features a large date in addition to the chronograph functions."
