Chopard

The Chopard manufacture, founded in 1860 in the tiny village of Sonvillier in the Jura mountains of Switzerland, celebrated its 150 anniversary in 2010. This year also marked its fifteenth year of breathtaking development. In the early 1990s, Chopard Replica Watches was already established in the world of fine jewelry. Yet Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, who runs the company with his sister, Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, decided that distinction was not enough.

He wanted to give the company a second source of income, namely its own line of watches, and his goal was to make it at least as successful as the company’s jewelry division. In 1993, literally out of nowhere, Chopard opened up its watchmaking manufacture in the sleepy town of Fleurier, where back then, only cases and ebauches were produced. In contrast to those early years, today the Chopard brand has taken its place among the best in the world of haute horlogerie.

To duly celebrate a century and a half of success, Chopard introduced four new remarkable Swiss Replica Chopard Watches calibers, among these the extraordinary L.U.C EHG, whose name is the acronym of the Geneva School of Horology, or Ecole d’ Horlogerie de Geneve. The ebauches are still finished in that venerable institution in the wonderful tradition of “school watches” and in accordance with the requirements for the seal of Geneva. Watchmaking students will finish a piece as their final year’s work. Chopard promised to supply the components to the school three years ago. The case was designed according to Karl-Friedrich Scheufele’s great-grandfather patent and allows the owner to choose between wearing the watch as a pocket or wristwatch.
